Genuine BMW part 12 52 0 007 172: Jack SLK 2.8 ELA with cable. The number stamped on the part is 12520007172; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 0007172. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 0141123, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 55 diagrams, among them Timing Case (11_2063) and Cylinder head Vanos (11_2170). It weighs about 6 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Repair kit (0493226).
