Installing set roof antenna — a genuine BMW part, number 84 53 0 029 404. The number stamped on the part is 84530029404; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 0029404. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Other Communication systems parts. It supersedes the older number 9408854, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 touring and compact (318ti, 1995–1999), with the M42 or M44 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Retrofit kit, teleph. antenna Dualband (03_3083) and Retrofit kit, teleph. antenna Singleband (03_3087). It weighs about 259 g (0.6 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
