This is a genuine BMW insert, part number 51 47 7 055 854. The number stamped on the part is 51477055854; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7055854. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older numbers 7027101 and 7027102, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits the E46 compact (316ti, 318td, 318ti, 320td and 325ti, 2001–2004), with the M47N, M54, N40, N42, N45 or N46 engines.
BMW draws it on the Floor covering (51_3255) diagram. It weighs about 74 g (0.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
