Ignition switch/CAS — a genuine BMW part, number 61 32 0 446 959. The number stamped on the part is 61320446959; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 0446959. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Ignition switch. It supersedes the older number 0432495, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 2347753.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Switch, instrument panel (61_1650) diagram. It weighs about 470 g (1.0 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Set of keys with CAS control unit (0031499).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
