Housing bottom right — a genuine BMW part, number 46 54 2 337 232. The number stamped on the part is 46542337232; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2337232. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Luggage system. It supersedes the older number 2317572, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 2337234.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 2.8 kg (6.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
