Genuine BMW part 13 71 2 247 002: Hot-film air mass meter. The number stamped on the part is 13712247002; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2247002. You will find it on our Air Intake shelf, under Intake silencer. It supersedes the older number 2247074, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7787076.
It fits the E46 sedan and touring (330d, 1999–2001), with the M57 engine.
BMW draws it on the Programmed DDE control unit (13_0803) diagram. BMW lists the quantity used as “as required”. It weighs about 242 g (0.5 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
