This is a genuine BMW hex nut with plate, part number 23 71 1 130 253. The number stamped on the part is 23711130253; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1130253. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Gearbox suspension. It supersedes the older number 0414777, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 6760944.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 12 diagrams, among them Engine Suspension / Damper (11_0082) and Gearbox suspension (23_0373). It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
