09 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW grommet, part number 54 12 8 211 460. The number stamped on the part is 54128211460; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8211460. You will find it on our Exterior Body shelf, under Other Sliding Roof / Folding Top parts. It supersedes the older number 7293132, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 touring (316i, 318i, 318tds, 320i, 323i, 325tds and 328i, 1994–1997), with the M41, M43, M51 or M52 engines. It also fits the E46 touring (323i and 325i, 2000–2005), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 8 diagrams, among them Door weatherstrip, front (41_0011) and Roof (41_0934). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
