17 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Grommet — a genuine BMW part, number 51 71 8 186 501. The number stamped on the part is 51718186501; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8186501. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 0300248, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 touring (323i and 325i, 2000–2005), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 15 diagrams, among them Single Components for Trunk Lid (41_1318) and Fill-In Flap (41_1543). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
