This is a genuine BMW gasket Steel, part number 11 42 2 245 842. The number stamped on the part is 11422245842; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2245842. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Oil filter and lines. It supersedes the older number 2244380, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan and touring (325td and 325tds, 1991–1996), with the M51 engine.
BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them Lubrication system-Oil filter (11_1278) and Lubrication system-Oil filter (11_1518). It also comes in BMW kits Gasket Set Engine Block Asbesto Free (2245749) and Gasket Set Engine Block Asbesto Free (9066462).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
