The number stamped on the part is 61131386849; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1386849. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Plug connection, terminal. It supersedes the older number 1386599, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 9 diagrams, among them Various Relays (61_0267) and Single Components for Fuse Box (61_0549). BMW lists the quantity used as “as required”. It weighs about 2 g (under 0.1 lb).
