It supersedes the older number 1953969, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 touring and compact (325i, 2001–2005), with the M54 engine — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 12 diagrams, among them Retrofit kit, CD-changer (03_1283) and Single Components for Trunk Lid (41_1318). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted.
