This is a genuine BMW exchange radio BMW REVERSE RDS, part number 65 12 8 368 543. The number stamped on the part is 65128368543; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8368543. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio, amplifier, CD player. It supersedes the older numbers 8353561, 8353563, 8353565 and 8360764, so a part carrying any of them is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 8368320.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 and other engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 15 diagrams, among them Radio Bavaria C (65_0000) and Radio Bavaria C (65_0001). It weighs about 1.3 kg (2.8 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
