The number stamped on the part is 23001222984; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1222984. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Manual gearbox parts. It supersedes the older numbers 1222263, 1222264 and 1222983, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Manual gearbox S5D...Z (23_0121) and Manual gearbox S5D...Z (23_1168). It weighs about 35 kg (77 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
