01 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW turbo charger (exchange unit), part number 11 65 7 590 598. The number stamped on the part is 11657590598; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7590598. BMW's catalog calls it “Exch-Turbo Charger”. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Other Engine parts. It supersedes the older number 4571543, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 4615206.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Turbo Charger with Lubrication (11_4194) and Turbo Charger with Lubrication (11_5106). It weighs about 5.8 kg (13 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
