The number stamped on the part is 21219056399; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9056399. BMW's catalog calls it “Exch-Pressure Plate”. You will find it on our Clutch & Flywheel shelf, under Clutch with drive plate. It supersedes the older numbers 0670904 and 9056397, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Crankshaft/flywheel (11_2370) and Release Bearing (21_0099). It weighs about 4.5 kg (9.9 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
