Navigation computer DVD (exchange unit) — a genuine BMW part, number 65 90 6 961 859. The number stamped on the part is 65906961859; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6961859. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH-Navigation computer DVD”. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Navigation systems. It supersedes the older number 6947829, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Navigation system (65_1168) diagram. It weighs about 1.6 kg (3.6 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
