Injector (exchange unit) — a genuine BMW part, number 13 53 7 789 670. The number stamped on the part is 13537789670; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7789670. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH Injector”. You will find it on our Air Intake shelf, under Injector nozzles and lines. It supersedes the older number 7787234, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7789661.

It fits every E46 body style (320d, 320td and 330d, 2001–2005), with the M47N or M57N engines.

BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them High pressure accumulator/injector/line (13_0959) and High pressure accumulator/injector/line (13_0985). It weighs about 560 g (1.2 lb).
