This is a genuine BMW frame sliding-lifting roof compl. (exchange unit), part number 54 13 8 172 628. The number stamped on the part is 54138172628; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8172628. BMW's catalog calls it “Exch -Frame Sliding-Lifting Roof Compl”. You will find it on our Exterior Body shelf, under Other Sliding Roof / Folding Top parts. It supersedes the older number 8132357, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 8193107.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 9.7 kg (21 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
