Frame sliding-lifting roof compl. (exchange unit) — a genuine BMW part, number 54 12 8 172 608. The number stamped on the part is 54128172608; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8172608. BMW's catalog calls it “Exch -Frame Sliding-Lifting Roof Compl”. You will find it on our Exterior Body shelf, under Other Sliding Roof / Folding Top parts. It weighs about 9.3 kg (20 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
