This is a genuine BMW control unit EGS with ags (exchange unit), part number 24 60 1 422 024. The number stamped on the part is 24601422024; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1422024. BMW's catalog calls it “Exch Control Unit EGS with Ags”. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 1421656, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Control unit EGS, programmed (24_1315) diagram. It weighs about 470 g (1.0 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
