This is a genuine BMW control unit DME programmed (exchange unit), part number 12 14 7 531 189. The number stamped on the part is 12147531189; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7531189. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH control unit DME programmed”. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 7528076, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7532839.

It fits the E46 touring (330xi, 2000–2001), with the M54 engine.
