Genuine BMW part 12 14 1 429 874: Control unit DME programmed (exchange unit). The number stamped on the part is 12141429874; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1429874. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH control unit DME programmed”. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 1433580, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1430007.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and compact (318i and 318ti, 1992–1999), with the M44 engine.

BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Control unit DME, programmed (12_0843) and Control unit DME, programmed (12_1993).
