01 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW -Auxiliary transmission (exchange unit), part number 27 10 7 509 763. The number stamped on the part is 27107509763; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7509763. BMW's catalog calls it “Exch.-AUXILIARY TRANSMISSION”. You will find it on our Drivetrain & Axle shelf, under Mounting / suspension. It supersedes the older number 4472336, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan and touring (325xi and 330xi, 2001–2005), with the M54 engine — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on the Transfer case NV 124 (27_0013) diagram. It weighs about 23 kg (50 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
