01 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Automatic transmission EH (exchange unit) — a genuine BMW part, number 24 00 8 645 372. The number stamped on the part is 24008645372; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8645372. BMW's catalog calls it “Exch. automatic transmission EH”. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 8638731, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Automatic transmission GA8HP45Z - 4WD (24_1233) diagram.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
