Eject box frame — a genuine BMW part, number 84 21 2 222 122. The number stamped on the part is 84212222122; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2222122. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Other Communication systems parts. It supersedes the older number 2153098, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i and 325i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Snap-in adapter, BlackBerry/RIM devices (03_2750) and Snap-in adapter, MOTOROLA devices (03_2751). It weighs about 260 g (0.6 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
