Genuine BMW part 12 51 1 266 653: Earth cable alternator. The number stamped on the part is 12511266653; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1266653. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Engine wiring harness. It supersedes the older number 1266732, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1269675.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

It weighs about 48 g (0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
