02 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→DVD player — a genuine BMW part, number 65 83 0 434 980. The number stamped on the part is 65830434980; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 0434980. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Other Audio, Navigation, Electronic Systems parts. It supersedes the older number 6983949, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 9197611.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Single parts CCC (65_1503) and Single parts CCC (65_1559). It weighs about 570 g (1.3 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
