Disc carrier — a genuine BMW part, number 24 23 1 204 138. The number stamped on the part is 24231204138; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1204138. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 1201065, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Zf 3hp12 Brake Clutch C/C'/D (24_0122) and Zf 3hp20 Brake Clutch C/C'/D (24_0671). It weighs about 140 g (0.3 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
