02 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Damper ring f rear window wiper motor — a genuine BMW part, number 61 62 8 214 659. The number stamped on the part is 61628214659; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8214659. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other General electrical system parts. It supersedes the older number 8357816, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 touring and compact (318ti, 1995–1999), with the M42 or M44 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 compact (316ti, 318td, 318ti, 320td and 325ti, 2001–2004), with the M47N, M54, N40, N42, N45 or N46 engines.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Single Parts for Rear Window Wiper (61_0099) and Single Parts for Rear Window Wiper (61_0140). BMW's catalog calls for three of these at each place it is fitted.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
