This is a genuine BMW covering outer, part number 16 13 1 183 047. The number stamped on the part is 16131183047; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1183047. You will find it on our Fuel System shelf, under Ventilation, emission monitoring. It supersedes the older number 1183046, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and convertible (318i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M44, M50, M52, S50 or S52 engines.
BMW draws it on the Activated Charcoal Filter/TUBING (16_0202) diagram. It weighs about 149 g (0.3 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
