Genuine BMW part 12 52 7 526 424: Covering cap. The number stamped on the part is 12527526424; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7526424. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older numbers 1744632 and 1744640, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

It fits every E46 body style (320i, 325i, 330i and M3, 2001–2006), with the M54, M56 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 15 diagrams, among them Basic control unit DME (12_1081) and Basic control unit DME / EK924 (12_1133). It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
