Cover column C left — a genuine BMW part, number 51 13 7 240 229. The number stamped on the part is 51137240229; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7240229. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 2756661, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the exterior trim / grille (51_6697) diagram. It weighs about 540 g (1.2 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
