Cover, bottom right — a genuine BMW part, number 51 42 7 249 826. The number stamped on the part is 51427249826; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7249826. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 7324778, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Rear door drinks cabinet (51_7113) diagram. It weighs about 320 g (0.7 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Retrofit, door mounted drinks cabinet (2153777).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
