Cover, bckrst, sprts seat, Alcantara Online — a genuine BMW part, number 52 10 8 014 982. The number stamped on the part is 52108014982; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8014982. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Tail trim. It supersedes the older number 0029632, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan and touring (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2005), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on the Indiv.cover, sports seat, Alcantara/Online (91_0363) diagram. BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 645 g (1.4 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
