05 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Cover — a genuine BMW part, number 12 90 7 534 511. The number stamped on the part is 12907534511; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7534511. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 1437447, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (325i, 330i and M3, 2001–2006), with the M54, M56 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Control unit box (12_0899) and Control unit box (12_1391). It weighs about 70 g (0.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
