This is a genuine BMW coupler mechanism left, part number 52 10 9 113 981. The number stamped on the part is 52109113981; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9113981. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Tail trim. It supersedes the older number 7000331, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 convertible (323i, 325i, 330i and M3, 2000–2006), with the M52, M54 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Safety Belt Front Left (72_0385) and Safety belt front (72_0584). It weighs about 70 g (0.2 lb).
