01 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW converter housing repair kit, part number 24 41 1 422 762. The number stamped on the part is 24411422762; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1422762. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older numbers 1422229, 1422375 and 1422411, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 sedan (316i 1.9 and 318i, 1997–2001), with the M43 engine.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them A4S 270R/310R rep. kit conv. housing (24_0811) and A4S 270R/310R rep. kit conv. housing (24_1303). It weighs about 603 g (1.3 lb).
