This is a genuine BMW control unit transitorized ignition, part number 12 14 1 266 702. The number stamped on the part is 12141266702; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1266702. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 1273217, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 9 diagrams, among them Control Unit Transitorized Ignition (12_0050) and Control Unit Transitorized Ignition (12_0070). It weighs about 58 g (0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
