This is a genuine BMW contact breaker, part number 12 11 1 359 873. The number stamped on the part is 12111359873; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1359873. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Ignition distributor, contact breaker. It supersedes the older number 8730024, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1267393.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 20 g (under 0.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
