This is a genuine BMW connection rod, part number 24 52 1 422 246. The number stamped on the part is 24521422246; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1422246. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 1219164, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M50, M52, S50 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them A5s310z Housing with Mounting Parts (24_0716) and A5s310z Housing with Mount.Parts,4-Wheel (24_0717). It weighs about 66 g (0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
