This is a genuine BMW collar screw, part number 11 53 7 804 636. The number stamped on the part is 11537804636; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7804636. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Thermostat and coolant lines. It supersedes the older number 2244722, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, touring and compact (318tds, 325td and 325tds, 1991–1996), with the M41 or M51 engines. It also fits every E46 body style (318d, 318td, 320d, 320td and 330d, 1998–2005), with the M47, M47N, M57 or M57N engines.
