Sold as part of these kits
Clip — a genuine BMW part, number 11 78 7 547 315. The number stamped on the part is 11787547315; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7547315. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Exhaust gas control systems. It supersedes the older number 1389400, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 16 diagrams, among them Cooling system, turbocharger (11_3946) and Cooling system, turbocharger (11_4553). It also comes in BMW kit Retrofit, visible exhaust (0445411).
