Circlip — a genuine BMW part, number 51 71 8 212 163. The number stamped on the part is 51718212163; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8212163. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older numbers 0149416 and 0153095, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i and 325i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 27 diagrams, among them Insulation (51_3274) and Underfloor coating (51_3284). It also comes in BMW kits Aerodynamic package primed (0413824) and Set, mounting parts, bumper, front (2413988) and 1 more.
