Genuine BMW part 11 31 7 512 519: Chain tensioner and guide rail. The number stamped on the part is 11317512519; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7512519. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under CAMSHAFT. It supersedes the older number 7557948, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan, coupe and compact (316i and 316ti, 2002–2004), with the N40 or N45 engines.
