Genuine BMW part 72 60 2 315 678: Case rod. The number stamped on the part is 72602315678; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2315678. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Parts and accessories, body parts. It supersedes the older number 2315680, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Set Case Holder (46_0169) and Set Case Holder (46_0192). It weighs about 295 g (0.7 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Set Case Holder (2315685).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
