Genuine BMW part 46 51 2 333 345: Cage nut. The number stamped on the part is 46512333345; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2333345. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Motorcycle frame. It supersedes the older number 1180141, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 34 diagrams, among them Mechanical Connection Elements (41_0982) and Mechanical Connection Elements (41_1433). BMW lists the quantity used as “as required”. It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).
