This is a genuine BMW brake band, part number 24 23 1 421 346. The number stamped on the part is 24231421346; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1421346. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 1219821, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M50, M52, S50 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them A5s310z Drive Clutch B/Brake Band C2 (24_0705) and A5s310z Drive Clutch B/Brake Band C2 (24_1217). It weighs about 237 g (0.5 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
