Genuine BMW part 61 21 8 377 123: Battery, empty. The number stamped on the part is 61218377123; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8377123. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Battery with holder. It supersedes the older numbers 1371404, 1371554 and 8363890, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan and compact (316g, 316i, 316i 1.6 and 316i 1.9, 1990–1999), with the M40 or M43 engines.

BMW draws it on 12 diagrams, among them Battery (61_0065) and Battery (61_0646). It weighs about 12 kg (25 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
