This is a genuine BMW ball oddments box, part number 71 60 6 751 510. The number stamped on the part is 71606751510; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6751510. You will find it on our Tools shelf, under Other Equipment Parts parts. It supersedes the older number 1095863, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2006), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on the Towing hitch, detachable (71_0180) diagram. It weighs about 107 g (0.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
